Men, sit down for your rights!

One aspect of a more pluralistic masculinity that old-school men might struggle with is choice. Old-school masculinity often seems to offer none. As a guide, I would like to try to offer a few pointers. It is possible to write the goals of feminism on a postcard. I have struggled to fit a future manifesto for men in the same space, but here goes:

Men’s rights

• The right to be vulnerable
• The right to be weak
• The right to be wrong
• The right to be intuitive
• The right not to know
• The right to be uncertain
• The right to be flexible
• The right not to be ashamed of any of these
