The absurdly prolific Omar Rodríguez-López who has been releasing albums at the rate of almost one a month so far this year, also managed to sneak in this stunning collaboration.

The trio consists of Omar playing acoustic, plus the double bass of Aaron Cruz Bravo and vocals by Ximena Sariñana Rivera.

It starts very strongly, and consequently feels like some of the later tracks aren’t quite up to scratch, but it has a lot to commend it, there are moments where the guitar seems to channel Baden Powell, and the vocals in places could be a Spanish Portishead.
