Two mixes in one year, this is bordering on prolific!

Ken Nordine kicks this mix off with some of his unique ‘word jazz’ stylings, before we move over to world jazz, a whole heap of afrobeat, classic and modern, the surprisingly beautiful theme music to Cannibal Holocaust as well as some assorted tracks from Japan, Mali, Thailand, Italy, South Africa, India, France, Democratic Republic of Congo, etc.

Strangely similar to my last mix, this one also features three orchestras – the Orchestre Poly-Rhythmo De Cotonou, the Afro Latin Vintage Orchestra and Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra.
Which is nice.

I’ve tried to add a tracklisting to Mixcloud, but in case you can’t see it, there are tracks (in order) from Ken Nordine, Ayuo, The Boredoms, Sir Richard Bishop, Riz Ortolani, Messer Chups, Orchestre Poly-Rhythmo De Cotonou, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Femi Kuti, Fela Kuti, Kamasi Washington, Inflo, Mbongwana Star, BCUC, Afro Latin Vintage Orchestre, Farida Khanum, BAllake Sissoko & Vincent Segal, Neung Phak, Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba-Bassekou and of course Mulatu Astatke.
