Codex Seraphinianus

If you haven’t heard of the Codex Seraphinianus, then steady yourself. It appears to be one of the oddest things to have been published!

This is called the Rocket Circumnambulation and is found among a series of other foot placement diagrams for otherwise innocuous looking maneuvers.

The Codex essentially appears to be the work of a complete madman in absolutely the best possible way. The artist responsible is one Luigi Serafini.

You can see more of the images on the unofficial Codex Seraphinianvs site, this Codex site, an academic approach and it’s also featured on Abebooks.
